Law and Order--the show that will never end
Because we need yet another Law & Order version...
Candice Bergen and Frasier dad John Mahoney are close to signing on as the stars of NBC's latest Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Jerry Orbach, who recently left his role as Lenny Briscoe on the original L&O series, is also expected to star in Trial by Jury.

I love Jerry Orbach and John Mahoney...I can't wait for another spinoff - but I am a bit addicted to all things Dick Wolf...I watch the reruns on TNT and USA and all the new episodes I can stay awake for!
Says: Kelly P. at June 11, 2004 08:48 AMCANDACE BERGEN? WTF? I don't know if America will buy her in this kind of role -- I figure she's way too "pigeonholed" as Murphy Brown.
Says: david at June 11, 2004 10:52 AMBergen had a long career in film before Murphy Brown. They also said she would never make the transition from model to actress.
Then again, they said no one would take Sally Field seriously after "Gidget" and "The Flying Nun."
