Coors' New Marketing Initiative

Coors is launching a brand new series of ads directed at the gay market.

Their slogan is "Now's the Time" and each ad features a little timestamp.

--Um, real subtle w/ the T-shirt in the second pic, Coors.

Wasn't this a fake commercial on SNL with Sandler, Farley, and Spade?

Says: M@ at June 8, 2006 07:07 AM

Wait, does this mean straight men will no longer be seen drinking Coors Light? If so, I think this was a bad move in terms of sales ... nothing against the gay community.

How did they get george micheal to play the guy floating on the raft?

Says: hizzo at June 8, 2006 08:37 AM

I work part-time at a wine/liquor store near Denver and few gay men around here even drink beer and certainly not Coors. a) They have better taste b) I suspect they've seen that "pure Rocky Mountain spring water" firsthand. ;)

Says: Nanc' at June 8, 2006 09:26 AM

Wow, this is a dumb idea. Does Coors not know who buys their beer? The type who will be turned off with commercials like these.

I would laugh my ass off if I saw these commercials rolled out during an NFL game, since Coors is an official sponsor of the NFL.
