She's Still Got It

After 10 years, Martina Navratilova won a singles match at Wimbledon Monday. Navratilova, who is 47 years old, crushed her opponent 6-0, 6-1 in 47 minutes.

That's awesome! I used to love watching her play when I was growing up (and playing myself). I especially loved watching her strategy during doubles play. Go Martina!

Too bad Martin should be playing in the men's draw!

I think it is so great she won! :)

Iceman, your comment makes me have to ask - - is your phobia showing? ;)

Yay for her! Go Martina, Go Martina!

Brilliant tennis. I about wet myself when she played serve and volley from the very first point. You never see that anymore, and I think it was one of reasons she dominated; most players simply don't know how to combat that style of play.

I used to hate Martina back when Chris Evert was my heroine (ah, my gayness seems so clear in retrospect) but after Evert retired and Martina aged I grew more and more impressed with everythign she brought to the game. Simply the greatest player of all time.
