Movie Songs

AFI's Top 100 Movie Songs has been released. I love movies and I love soundtracks, so I especially enjoyed this one.

While "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is one of my least favorite songs, I can understand why it came in at #1.

You Said

It's hardly my favorite song, but there's a version of "Rainbow" by a Hawai'ian singer named Israel Kamikawiwo'ole that is outstanding. You've probably heard it. They used it in the closing credits of Finding Forrester as well as an episode of ER a couple seasons ago.

I watched the show last night on CBS - gotta tell ya though, "Gonna Fly Now" (Rocky) was WAY TOO LOW!

While "Somewhere..." isn't my all-time favorite, it certainly isn't my "least favorite" either...it has such a lovely melody and there are such wonderful versions of the chart out there! It was awesome to see the charts from "Singin' in the Rain" on this list as well- it is my all-time favorite movie-musical :)
