Reality--24-7

As if the gazillion reality shows weren't enough, now we can look forward to a whole channel:

FOX Networks Group plans to launch a reality television cable network early next year, pushing back at rivals who have said FOX Broadcasting was stealing their ideas.

The FOX Reality Channel will debut in the first three months of 2005 with new and repeat performances from FOX, known for shows like "American Idol" and "The Simple Life," as well as outtakes and interviews, foreign adaptations of popular concepts and shows from other production companies.

The network will also back up programs on the main FOX channel with extra material, it said.

You Said

NOOOOO! For all that is good and holy in this world, NO!

All the networks steal from one another. It's really pathetic, actually. There isn't an ounce of imagination going around the combined programming offices at NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox anymore. They all cater to the lowest common denominator; now more than ever.

Thank God for HBO.

*sigh*
It was only a matter of time. Yet another network I refuse to watch. So much for good written drama.

Actually it's more than ONE whole channel...two other networks are planning the same thing. Fox just ripped them off (and beat them to the punch...again). :) And as Brian said...yeah another network (or networkS) which I won't watch (unless they show reruns of THE JOE SCHMOE SHOW...now THAT'S funny.
