Emmys

The Emmy nominations were announced this morning.

My initial thoughts:
--As most of you can predict, I'm rooting for The Sopranos and Sex and the City.

--Very pleased that John Ritter got a nod. Also happy to see that James Spader's excellent work on The Practice was recognized.

--I just glanced at the nominees briefly, so I could've missed this but...where the hell were any nominations for Nip/Tuck? That show is awesome!

--I also hope The Apprentice wins reality series.

You Said

I wish Gilmore Girls had been nominated. That show is great.

Okay, happy about James Spader...really happy about Monk's Tony Shalhoub...and ecstatic about Mariska Hargitay of L&O: SVU - but I am complete agreement about Nip/Tuck! I can't believe it didn't get any Emmy love - it rocks!I adore Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh...although I have to say that the chick that plays Sean's wife, Julia (Joely Richardson??) gets on my very very last nerve!

not having sat. or cable I am lost on Sopranos, nip/Tuck, six feet under etc.
BUT not SATC. I still have the last 3 episodes to go - should be coming via Netflix today or tomorrow.
So far don't think this is the best season (4 could possibly be my favorite) but I have cried and laughed in every episode and will surely root for them.
Gilmore Girls has great writing.
