Cojo Says...

Stephen Cojocaru's take on Teresa Heinz Kerry's look:

"I must bring up the topic ... Teresa and the hair. The hair is a little too wild and savage. If you're one of the members of Destiny's Child, that's good hair! But maybe for the future first lady, I think she needs more tapered."

--Agreed, Cojo.

You Said

Compared to... Laura? I get the school-marm thing, but school-marms from thirty years ago?

Says: Kevin at September 6, 2004 09:06 AM

I agree that Laura could be a bit more cutting edge, but I always thinks she looks well put together. And, I think she dresses in clothing that flatters her body -- which Hillary needed to learn how to do.

Was Hill in spandex or something? Pantsuits are pantsuits. =)

Says: Kevin at September 6, 2004 09:41 AM

She would wear skirts that were the WORST length and her kankles would always be showing. Agreed--pantsuits are pantsuits, and she should have stuck with those.

And she had a bad hat obsession too. :)

Back off, Lawren! When you insult Hillary, it's personal!

Admittedly, Hillary did go through her, let's say adjustment, period from 1991-1997. However, she was First Lady of Arkansas, so we should be lucky she wasn't wearing coonskin and flannel. However, after 1997, she wisely engaged the right stylist for her clothes and hair, and looks great. On the other hand, Laura Bush seems to pick out her dresses from whatever fabric is on the couches in the clearence aisle at Big Lots. This is why being a Republican sucks- when you want to put gay people in prison, you're stuck with the heteros for fashion tips, and Lord knows they don't know shit!

Wait until I become President, Chuck. :)

Says: Lawren at September 6, 2004 10:25 AM

In 3 presidental cycles you'll be old enough for the office Lawren and I'll vote for ya!

Of course I'm running in the next one and a good suit makes even me look good. Since I'm single we'll never have a discussion on how my wife looks pantsuits or not! ;-)

Ohmigod, Lawren - KANKLES!!! I freaking love that word!!! And, I have to agree with you on this, L, as Hillary tended to look a bit of a mess, and Laura always looks well put together, a bit schoolmarmish, yes, but still a very classy lady...see, chuck, now you know why i get so mad when you call my black pantsuit, my Hillary Clinton...that is NOT a compliment...it means it looks like i have a big ol' ass, and KANKLES!
