South Beach

So the partners decided where our firm trip is going to be this year: Miami--South Beach. I'm really pumped because it will be a nice break from the December chill of Indiana, and I've never been there.

We'll be staying here, which I've been told is only 2 minutes from South Beach.

Has anyone been there? Are there any shops, bars, clubs, etc. you highly recommend? If so, let me know! Don't want to miss anything!

You Said

Lawren, nice working vacation you'll have :) Hey, wasn't that hotel in our property textbook? The last time I was in Miami I was too young to recommend anything specific, but grab one of those Lonely Planet books. I know they have one for Miami and I've used them for my trips to Seattle, Portland, London, Paris and they have never steered me wrong!

I've been to Miami many times and sicne you will be in that area just walk outside and you'll find a thousand things to do within the first thirty minutes. The restaurants are great, the dancing sexy, the drinks fun and the shopping fabulous. Can you tell Miami is one of my favorite places? There are a few spots I think are great and worth visiting - - let me look them up and get you the addresses. Also when you get to the FB and check in have their concierge give you all the tourist tips for those who don't want to do tourist things - - that way you'll be off the beaten path and have a lot of fun :)

I'll drop you a note later today with info :)

Collins Ave is where all the clubs and bars are... shopping? Everywhere you look is a shop... just bring money and dress hott or you're not getting in the bars.. check out the Delano hotel - nice bar scene (right on the water), Rummy, Mint, and a cab drive away is Nikki Beach (bar/restaruant/club on the water named after the owners daughter that was killed in drunk driving accident). Enjoy!
