The real deal

Ever wonder the real names of some stars? Well, here's a website on the real names of many Hip Hop and R&B stars. Here are some of my faves:

Billie Holiday--Eleanora Fagan
Busta Rhymes--Trevor Tahiem Smith
Della Reese--Dellareese Taliaferro
Ice Cube--Oshea Jackson
Jamie Foxx--Eric Bishop
Prince--Prince Rogers Nelson
Tina Turner--Anna Mae Bullock

You Said

Prince Rogers Nelson?? Seriously? Wait, wasn't Roger Nelson the name of Genie's master on 'I Dream of Genie'? I could be wrong about that.

Oh, and Oshea?? Who the hell names their kid Oshea? I can just hear that conversation now:

"So, what should we call our brand new baby, dear?"

"Oh, I don't know. How about something that will be sure to cause ridicule during all of his school years?"

"That's a GREAT idea! How about Oshea?"

"Brilliant!!"

(Sorry, I sorta slipped into the Guinness commercial there at the end)

Wow, I had no idea Jamie Foxx wasn't using his real name! I knew of some of these, but was in the dark on Jamie. Cool.

Tony Nelson and Roger Healy, IIRC, on the Jeannie show. And, of course, Dr. Bellows.
