Jude Law is the sexiest man alive? PLEASE! I strongly disagree with this decision.
I personally think he's creepy looking, and his role in The Road to Perdition affirmed that for me.
As for People's other choices: Orlando Bloom (not really), Jake Gyllenhaal (if you like guys that look 10 years old), Usher (don't like his ears, but he oozes sexy), Colin Farrell (too dirty for my taste, but sexy), Brad Pitt (when he's not too hairy, he's perfect--a la Ocean's 11), Matt Damon (not bad), Ben Affleck (eh, he's ok), Bruce Willis (definitely) and Johnny Depp (not if he was the last man alive). Hello? Where is Colin Firth? Where is Clooney?
Us Weekly named Jesse Metcalfe, who plays Eva Longoria's on-screen gardener on "Desperate Housewives," as the sexiest man on television. (Can't disagree there).

Just commenting on those listed: Jude. uh huh. He's hot. Orlando Bloom? Only in Lord of the Rings. Jake Gyllenhaal? Who? Usher? Talk about someone who looks 10! Colin Farrall is hot hot hot hot hot. I think Jude is fantastically gorgeous. He's more of a 'pretty boy', so I guess you have to like that look. If you're into Clooney, then I can see why Jude is not your thing. Regardless, i give the pick a big "YES!"

Lawren, this might just ruin our friendship. Jude Law is SOOOOOOOOO Hot! I have been saying it for years, (since Talented Mr. Ripley) and now everyone else agrees. And the fact that you found him so creepy in Road to Perdition is a testament to his acting skills (with a little assist from makeup). Look at those eyes!
Clooney has already been named before, hasn't he? It will get pretty boring to have the same guy again and again.

Okay, chuck...as soon as I saw the cover...my brain put the "sexiest man" title with Scott Peterson!!!!! I do think he is...and I feel EXCEEDINGLY BAD FOR IT! And where the hell IS Colin Firth???? 'Kay, I love Jude Law and Johnny Depp...but I can't see the Orlando Bloom thing -Viggo Mortensen - yes. And certainly not Bruce Willis...ick...he hasn't been hot since "Moonlighting"! I'm not big on Jude Law. Which makes this entire year a bit unfortunate for me. As for the true sexiest men out there...I think talent plays such a huge role. Which is why I still adore Steve Malkmus and have such a burgeoning crush on Ted Leo. Strict hottness-wise though, I'll go with non-machinist Christian Bale, and Michael Vartan.
