Break out the hairspray and squeeze into your Spandex — Motley Crue is reuniting for a world tour.
The glam-metal gang of Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars will hold a press conference Monday in front of the Whiskey A-Go-Go on the Sunset Strip, the historic rock club where Crue got its start in the early 1980s.
VH1 will cover the announcement live and the Strip will be shut down. Meanwhile, Neil, last seen bunking with other B-list celebs on "The Surreal Life," marries buxom blond gal pal Leah Gardini Jan. 9 in Las Vegas.
--This seriously rocks. I so hope they come to Indianapolis. :)

Motley Crue brings back great memories. I remember wanting to run away with Nikki. I, too, hope they come to Indy. I'd have to dig out my old concert clothes for that one.

Sept. 19, 1985. It was a Friday night, I think. It was the first concert I ever saw.
Motley Crue at Wendler Arena in Saginaw, Michigan.
I remember it like it was yesterday. They opened with Looks That Kill.
I've been waiting for the reunion tour for a long time now.

I saw them back in the mid-80's at Robert's Stadium in Evansville. Can't remember who the special guest was...
If they come to Indy, I might have to consider going to check them out. It'll be interesting if they do like KISS and release a new album after the tour.
Cool/funny aside. My wife worked at the Kohl's on East Washington (now on Pendleton Pike) in the mid- to late-90's and worked with a woman who claimed to be (I think) Mick Mars' aunt...she told my wife at the time that if they ever came to town she could see about getting us tickets. Wonder if she's still alive? Hmm....
