Disney Doing Tron
Disney has commissioned a remake of Steven Lisberger’s "Tron."
“We are contemporizing it,” screenwriter Brian Klugman told Variety, “taking these ideas that were ahead of the curve and applying them to the present, and we feel the film now has a chance to resonate with a young audience."

Perhaps the re-make will finally shed light on what the hell they were trying to do in the original.
Says: Kevin the Interloper at January 14, 2005 08:14 AMHey Tron was the best video game disguised as a movie in the '80's!
What disturbs me isn't the thought of a remake, but that ideas have been around for an actual sequel!
Says: Brian D. at January 14, 2005 08:25 AMI LOVED the video game! LOVED IT!!
I remember reading about a sequel called: TRON 2.0. The title was cool enough, but they still need to explain to me what the hell was going on in that first movie. And Jeff Bridges was on screen so much that I always felt they should've called it "Flynn."
Says: Kevin the Interloper at January 14, 2005 08:58 AMHmmm. I remember really enjoying TRON when I was younger...and I freakin' OWNED the "Discs of TRON" video game at school. One quarter and I was set for an 45 minutes or an hour...
