Simon Says...
Opinions from Simon Cowell:
On Beyonce: "I find the whole Beyonce thing really mystifying," Cowell says in Esquire magazine, on newsstands Friday. "She's not sexy, she hasn't got a great body and she's not a great singer."
On Ashlee Simpson: "Why should you have to do something substandard just for the sake of being real? If it sounds better with the vocal you recorded, why shouldn't people listen to that? There's almost a witch-hunt mentality about people miming," he said.
On President Bush: "He could almost be a robot."
On marriage: "At the end of the day, it's an incredibly unfair contract."
On France: "We [the British] have hated the French for years. Now you [the United States] have just joined the club. It makes you much more likable."

A "witch-hunt" mentality? Whatever. When one puts on a performance the audience believes is live and then is exposed, in fact, to NOT be live, that is perpetrating a fraud.
Music is meant to be performed live. And if these so-called pop singers want to muddy it up with a lot of choreography in concert and can't sing at the same time, well, then it's not worth seeing.
I don't think the likes of Ashlee Simpson will get any sympathetic nods from artists who perform live every night; especially Broadway actors and actresses who sing live every night WITH choreography.
It's a fraud and it's selling a dishonest product. If they want to lip-sync, the tickets should say that. There should be signs all over the arena warning people that they shelled out money to listen to the record.

Does this mean his engagement is off?
