Umm, excuse me, how about "Boyz N Da Hood"?? If you're going to put "Friday" on this list, you HAVE to include "Boyz" - which I think is an amazing movie about growin' up in da hood (said in Ice Cube voice).

Boyz in the Hood is an AMAZING film about growing up in the hood without a doubt.
The discussion goes that the film is more of a white film then a black film because it shows the rest of society (middle white america) what it is like for people living in the ghettos of Cali.
