Former Sex And The City beauty Kristin Davis has reportedly found love with a veteran comic almost 20 years her senior - Steve Martin.
The TV star and the Father Of The Bride funnyman have reportedly enjoyed a series of intimate dates and were holding hands at a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles on Sunday, reports Britain's Daily Star newspaper.
And pals of the pair claim Martin, 59, is so smitten, he threw a surprise party for Davis to celebrate her 40th birthday last month. One friend says, "It's the real thing - they have become very close. They are ready to let people know they are an item. They tried to act like they were not together at the party but couldn't stop stealing kisses."
--I don't really know why, but this coupling seems kind of odd to me.

Oh the difference between 40 and 59 isn't as big as the differnce between 20 and 39! They both have excellent senses of humor and maybe she digs the gray hair of a more mature gentleman?

And for some reason, this pairing seems strangely similar to the situation in Martin's novella "Shopgirl." Davis is older than the young lady in the book, but still...it does seem to be a bit of life imitating art.
