People Have No Manners
Well Said:
Billy Crystal has a temper — which he displayed the other night after his "700 Sundays" one-man show was disrupted by an idiot in the Broadhust Theatre who ignored two warnings to turn off his/her cellphone.
At the poignant end of the show, as Crystal was discussing the death of his mother, a phone rang twice. Crystal soldiered on, but after the curtain and the standing ovation, "Crystal came out to talk to the audience about what a great time he had, and said if he never works again, 'and I will,' he says, 'this show is a culmination of happiness for me,' " said our source. "He said, 'the audience was great — except for the man or the lady who in the end let that cellphone go off. Please next time, shut it off or better yet, shove it up your [bleep.]' And he walked off for good."

I hate when people don't heed the cell phone warning! So much for that guy! Go Billy!
Says: Charon at March 7, 2005 09:15 AMExcellent. Good for him.
Says: Iceman at March 7, 2005 09:58 AMLOL that is EXACTLY how I feel! I can't stand it when people do that!
Says: Ash at March 7, 2005 10:56 AMAMEN!!! Good for him.
Says: Kelly P. at March 7, 2005 02:40 PMI agree wholeheartedly with the above commentary. I think we have all come to accept the cell phone as a necessary evil, but etiquette, especially at a live performance, must be observed. The clown who leaves his phone on 'ring' in such a setting deserves more than just the riducule delivered---they deserve a swift kick in the *ss.
