Elton Reaches Out to George:

It looks like there's no end in sight to the feud between George Michael and Elton John.

Elton says he's tried to patch things up with the singer after they fell out last year but George is refusing to meet him halfway. Elton had branded George's last album Patience "disappointing" and said the former Wham! star was "in a strange place". Michael, 41, hit back, saying Elton knew "very little" about his life.

Elton now reveals: "Poor George. I tried to call him at Christmas to sort things out but he wouldn't come to the phone. It's a shame. I struck a nerve and he took it the wrong way. I'd like to resolve it." Elton, 57, continues: "I've been in the place where George is and I'm concerned. If something happens, I want to be there because under these huge egos, we're all human."
