If you can't get enough of Britney Spears then you'll be overjoyed to hear of her next project...

Never one to be put off by a bit of bad press, the 23-year-old star is giving her acting career another go - with a comedy slant.

After her first film, Crossroads, was panned by anyone and everyone, she's dusted herself off and signed up for movie number two. This time round she's starring in the comedy In The Pink alongside Cher, Bette Midler and Tim Allen.

Female First reports a friend as saying: "Britney really wanted this part - it's a good script and she's determined to prove to her doubters that she can be funny."
