Actress Battles Depression

For five seasons as psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Melfi on HBO's "The Sopranos," Lorraine Bracco has battled mob boss Tony Soprano's mental demons. But for a year and a half in real life, Bracco was fighting clinical depression with medication and therapy.

"If you break your leg, you have it fixed," Bracco, 50, recently told The Associated Press. "If you have a toothache, you go to the dentist. When it comes to mental health, people tend to think they can just get over it."

--Tony will not be happy if he has to find a new therapist. (Although, it doesn't seem like it was really working anyway).

You Said

I like her but every time I see her and hear her, I wonder if she's related to Joan Cusack.

I checked. No she isn't related to Joan Cusack, but I can see why you think that.

Good for her try to fix her depression. It is a horrible thing to live through.

Kudos for working thru the depression etc. It's not easy stuff. I was talking about her less than 30 minutes ago while watching a new version of Law and Order. Has she had awfulplasticsurgery?
