Casting Call

--Heather Locklear has signed on to appear in two episodes of Boston Legal scheduled to air during May sweeps. She will play a flamboyant murder defendant who poisons her older hubby and seeks out James Spader's character for representation.

--Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman have come on board the feature adaptation of Patrick Suskind's bestseller Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. Set in 18th century France, the pic focuses on a Paris perfume maker obsessed with bottling the scent of a beautiful young virgin. Hoffman plays a fellow perfume maker, while Rickman portrays the merchant father of the beautiful young virgin.

--Hilary Swank is in final talks to topline the Warner Bros. horror pic about a woman (Swank) investigating bizarre biblical occurrences in a rural, religious Texas town. Wonderland helmer James Cox directs.
