Reality Show News

2 new reality shows are in the works:

--This April, Atoosa Rubenstein might evolve from media heavyweight to household name. She’s partnered with MTV to create a new reality show, loosely titled Project Seventeen, that chronicles her search for America’s newest sweetheart.

According to Seventeen’s parent company, The Hearst Corporation, the show will pit young women against each other for a college scholarship, a paid Seventeen internship (otherwise unheard of at the company), and a Seventeen cover of her very own. MTV execs will scour the country in April for show contestants.

--Athletic sisters Venus Williams and Serena Williams are set to entertain their fans away from the tennis court with a new reality TV show. The stars have closed a deal to film a six-episode series based on their lives on and off the court.

The as-yet-untitled project, set for a July debut, will focus mostly on the sisters' interests outside professional tennis, including family interaction, "fun" and finding their "place in the world", says a network statement.

BTW-
I love GEICO's latest marketing campaign where they make fun of Gap and Old Navy commercials and do fake reality shows (e.g. "Tiny House"). Great stuff.

Tiny House is hilarious. The craziest part is that it's just wacky enough that you could see someone really doing it.
