Bye, Carter

One of NBC's original "ER" doctors, Noah Wyle, will leave his popular TV job on May 19th.

According to USA Today, Wyle, the only lead who has stayed with the series throughout its nearly 11-year run, will perform his last episode as a regular cast member (Dr. Carter) on the upcoming season finale. The 33-year-old Emmy nominee is, however, expected to return to the show for a few appearances over the next two seasons.

His character, Dr. Carter, will rekindle the romance with an old flame, Kem (Thandie Newton), before departing the Chicago hospital on a mission to help underprivileged patients overseas.

--Sad. He was my favorite.

You Said

I think it's time for ER to end. It had an amazing run, but it's just nowhere near what it once was.

That and, well, I'm sick of hearing that deep-voiced narrator say that the next episode of ER is going to be "the greatest dramatic spectacle on television - the best episode ever" . . . it gets old.

Man, he's good looking.
