Dollywood To Take Over the World

Country star Dolly Parton thrilled fans during the 20th anniversary celebration of her Dollywood theme park - by vowing to open a succession of Dollywood resorts around the world.

Dolly, 58, is delighted the amusement park - which features more than 30 breast-themed rides and attractions - was named the top paid tourist attraction in Tennessee last year.

And after the anniversary celebrations, Parton took to the stage and announced that although she rejected a proposed Dollywood II in Japan in 2002, she is keen to invest in resorts across the globe.

She says, "We are just getting started. We are going to keep dreaming and continuing to grow and prove that we are one of the best theme parks in the whole wide world.

--I don't know anyone who has been to Dollywood. Someone please explain to me why flocks of people go here.

You Said

Actually you do know someone who has been there. But I still couldn't tell you why. I thought it sucked.

Are there really breast themed rides and attractions. I've never been there, but have been past it on several occasions.

I think the folks that go there are the same ones who go to Branson, MO and The Grand Old Opry, i.e., die hard country fans.

I recently drove through Pigeon Forge (home of dollywood) on my way to a cabin in the smokies.

Let me just say that pigeon forge is the single scariest place I have ever been. Imagine a strip longer than vegas', with more neon and gaudiness, but without a single building taller than 3 stories. This was redneck sprawl at its worst. Upon reaching the cabin, I was so scarred from driving through Pigeon Forge that it took the whole weekend to recover.

Was that in February, perhaps? ;)
