Babies Linked to Memory Loss?

Babies linked to memory loss?

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow says she's lost her memory since having a baby, reports Ananova.com.

The 32-year-old star says she can no longer remember her lines since giving birth to Apple last May. "I used to be excellent and then I had a baby and I can't remember anything," she said. "I used to have a fantastic memory and now I can't remember what day it is."

You Said

My wife had the same experience. It probably will go away after she stops breast feeding.

As a mom of 3, I'll vouch for what G.P. is saying but I think it's due to sleeplessness and constant thoughts of the baby and his/her needs/demands.

My cousin said having a baby makes you dumber. Is that true?

Actually it makes you smarter. It causes all sorts of instinctive reactions to kick in that you wouldn't otherwise use. I just heard on the radio the other day that they did a test that showed that mothers are smarter than non-moms. How much so, who knows? And I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions (ahem, Britney).
