Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. is launching a pop career.

The 'Chaplin' star has recorded an album - titled 'The Futurist' - released next week.

He says his inspiration to make the album was his love for girlfriend Susan Levine, who he is due to wed this summer. He said: "She's a great gal and I'm not saying I buy too much into the whole soulmate or everyone-has-their-ultimate-partner thing, but it certainly seems like it's panning out that way."
