How Do You Like Them Apples?

Next Monday, Bacardi will launch its new apple-flavored rum with the Bacardi Big Apple Fashion Show, a runway romp featuring designs by labels like Escada, Joseph Abboud, Rocawear, and Halston—all in Bacardi’s signature apple green color.

Jessica Alpert-Goldman, designer of the label World According to Jess, designed a one-of-a-kind dress made from over 600 grosgrain ribbons patchworked together to create a skirt and bustier. This outfit will also serve as her submission for Bravo’s Project Runway.

The catwalk is cast with celebs like Bai Ling, Jai Rodriguez, and Patrick McDonald, all strutting in the name of their favorite charity. Bacardi will also donate 5 pounds of apples to City Harvest for every person who attends the show. Ling, for her part, is confirmed to model the gown created by Halston.

You Said

I have to admit that I kind of like that dress by Jess- it's funky and fun.

Bai Ling + Halston...hmmmm....that just doesn't compute. Have we EVER seen her in designer (let alone tasteful) ANYthing??? I can't wait to see how she puts her personal touch on it.
