Out of Your League

While Lindsay Lohan has her share of press, it apparently isn't the kind she'd like it to be. The teen queen told Los Angeles Times that she wants to appear "wholesome."

"I always want to be perceived as normal and wholesome, because it's relatable," said Lohan. "I hope people think I'm wholesome. It's hard after what you read in the magazines, that I'm dating every guy who's like my father's age. But that's not me."

While other younger actresses like Keira Knightly, Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman are getting roles in Oscar-nominated films, Lohan is left with work on movies like Herbie: Fully Loaded, which opens June 22. Lohan, whose been in the news more often for her relationship to Wilmer Valderrama and her weight than for her acting feats, expressed frustration over why she's not taken as seriously as Knightley and Johansson, who are only two years older.

"It's hard for me to have to watch that," says Lohan. "I work just as hard as those people and sometimes [the media] make it seem that they're more mature because their fan base is more mature and my fan base is younger ... so they're writing about me going out all the time. It's easy to over-publicize me."

HOWEVER...her luck might be getting a little better...

Lindsay Lohan may be starring in "Mission Impossible 3" with Tom Cruise. Lohan told KIIS FM radio in L.A. Monday she's going to China soon to film a big movie, adding, " 'Mission Impossible 3.' Shhhh. You're the first ones I've told."

Sadly, she may have spoken too soon. Lohan's rep said the Hollywood hellcat has not been officially offered the role, but has only "read for the part." Elisha Cuthbert is also up for the role, which Scarlett Johansson turned down

(Watch out Katie if Lindsay is on the scene...)
