Stork Visits

--It's a new baby girl for "Six Feet Under" star Rachel Griffiths and her husband, artist Andrew Taylor. The 36-year-old Australian-born actress (who plays Brenda on the HBO series) gave birth to their 8 lb. daughter on Thursday in Los Angeles. Griffiths' spokesperson tells the magazine that the family is "extremely happy" and both mother and baby are doing well. The couple has yet to announce the name of their newborn, who joins older brother Banjo Patrick (1 1/2 years).

--"Law & Order" alum Angie Harmon gave birth Wednesday to a baby girl. Avery Grace was born in Harmon's hometown of Dallas, the actress' rep confirms. This is the second child for Harmon and her husband Jason Sehorn, former cornerback for the New York Giants; daughter Finley Faith turns two in October. Harmon will next be seen on the big screen in December with Jim Carrey in a remake of the 1977 comedy, 'Fun with Dick and Jane.' The family plans to remain in Dallas for the summer before returning to Los Angeles in the fall.

Speaking of Six Feet Under, a show which I have watched religiously since its inception, it has really gone downhill this season. The show has been focusing too much on the operatic social and relationship mishaps of its characters rather than delving into the mysteries of life/death that made me a fan in the first place.

Agreed. It's much less "dark" than before. Which, is why I liked it in the first place. Have you been watching "Entourage?" BIG fan.
