Minogue's Good Deed

Kylie Minogue made an impromptu visit to visit children suffering from cancer at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia on Friday.

The singer, 37, lavished time and affection on the ailing youngsters in her first public appearance since her own breast cancer operation in May.

Hospital spokeswoman Kate Dunston, says, "She spent a lot of time with the children individually and really connected with them." "She had her dad (Ron) with her and a couple of assistants. They all seemed to be very concerned for her."

The recovering singer intended to visit the kids' hospital when she was fully back to health, but since hearing about the terrorist attacks in London on Thursday she brought her plans forward. An aide says, "Kylie saw what was going on on the TV and decided she wanted to get up and do something positive." "She decided the time was right yesterday and rang the charities she is involved with. The children weren't told she was coming. Their faces lit up."
