Gearing Up For the Open

The Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, are as aggressive in marketing at the U.S. Open as they are on the court.

Today, Serena will play with doubles twins Mike and Bob Bryan on a specially installed court on the roof of Manhattan Land Rover and then test-drive one of their 2006 models. Tomorrow, Venus will challenge all comers to serve an ace against her in Pershing Square just south of Grand Central. For every ace, American Express will donate $1,000 to the "Aces for Kids" program.

Before the first match on Monday, Serena will show what the word "freebie" means to new imports Ana Ivanovic of Serbia and Tatiana Golvin of France, when they get pampered with Stila cosmetics in a suite at the Parker Meridien. They'll also haul away $1,000 goody bags.
