Cabrera To Do Reality Show

Ashlee Simpson's ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera is hoping to boost the love lives of others with a new dating reality show. The 23-year-old singer will host the new MTV show Score, where contenders will win dates based on their songwriting skills.

He explains, "Basically, two aspiring singer/songwriters have one day to write a song. They're trying to win a date with girl and so they have got to write the song during the day, perform it that night live, and she picks who she wants to go on a date with based on their songs." "I'm the host and I help them write and then I perform a song at the end of every episode. She doesn't get to see the guys (until she makes her selection)."

Damn. Here I was hoping that I'd win a date with him. I'd even forgive his worship of Will Farrel. Oh well.

I took my daughter to the mall here in Indy last weekend for an outfit for homecoming and we were surprised to find a parking lot full of people watching Ryan perform in concert.

The show sounds alright - if it's targeting the 'tween' girl demographic, which it likely is.
