Everybody Loves the F-Bomb

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has blurted out the "F word" at Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont during a heated exchange on the Senate floor, according to congressional aides.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in a terse discussion between the two that touched on politics, religion and money, with Cheney finally telling Leahy to "f--- off" or "go f--- yourself," the aides said on Thursday.

YES!!!! Glad to see someone else loves the F-bomb as much as I do! Go Dick!

(Yeah, yeah, I know it's unprofessional. But you know some of those guys in Washington have been DYING to say it to each other for YEARS. I say, "Have at it!")

You Said

I LOVE the f-bomb...too much, in fact...I use it as a noun, a verb, an adjective, adverb...I think I might have used it as a gerund at one point or another ;)

What? An adult swore at another adult in the company of other adults? Shocking! :-p

I'm hardly a supporter of either of these guys; but I'm going to side with Dick on this one. Leahy is a smug SOB. I'm still pissed at him for sneaking into a bill a rider designating Lake Champlain as a Great Lake.

I would've said the same thing to him.

Yup, I tell too many people to "Fuck off" at times, getting me into trouble - ask around the law school. :) Or my high school tennis coach. Ahh, the old glory days of the hot temper!

Yes! Finally, I find somebody who agrees with me on this. Everybody else are all like "its so unprofessional, yatta, yatta, yatta." Whiners, they are.

I think he was just saying the same thing that at least 130 million Americans would have said in his position.

Tell Leahy if you see him that Norman said 'fuck you' too. Probably hurts more coming from Cheney, but people whining about it should get a grip.

Says: Norman at June 25, 2004 04:10 PM

Would this even be news if Leahy had said it to Cheney?

Says: Matt at June 25, 2004 05:05 PM

I would have whispered it in his ear to maintain a little professionalism. However, as there is no professionalism left in the Senate I'm all for a Pay-Per-View Slugfest.

Ah, the beauty of the F-Bomb. I believe I've constructed entire sentences with it. So flexible as nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and other things.
