Spears a Script Stealer?

Writer Christopher Merrill is suing Britney Spears, Paramount Pictures, and MTV for $30 million, alleging that the plot for Britney's 2002 road-movie bomb "Crossroads" was ripped off from his original script, "Dream Alive."

--2 questions....1) Did he just catch the movie on DVD? I mean, what the heck took him so long? 2) Why would ANYONE claim they wrote it. Be glad your name isn't associated with it, buddy, and move on!

It takes a long time for the pre legal processes to fail to the point where you could justifiably sue. It took a couple of years of one sided efforts before he resorted to legal action
