What Really Happened

For months, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have kept tight-lipped about their break-up, fuelling media speculation over what caused the rift. But now, as divorce details are finalised, Jennifer has opened up about the real reasons behind the split.

The Friends star confessed that her fairy-tale marriage to Brad made her feel too insecure. The 36-year-old said: "Marriage brought up all the kinds of things I pushed to the back-burner - the fear, the mistrust, the doubts, and the insecurities."

"Brad is the kindest person I know and the sweetest goofball on the planet. He helps you with your chair in restaurants and opens the car door for you. "He's a gentleman and accepted me with all of my crap and dysfunction and insecurities and struggles."

But she says she always felt inferior to the heart-throb, and that her relationship with him went through "rough and nasty" patches. Despite rumors that she put her career above having a family with Brad, Jennifer told how she longs to have children, saying: "Babies are so magical that I want at least one of my own."

Brad recently said that his love was never enough for Jennifer. He was quoted as saying: "It was becoming a nightmare. "When something so good goes so bad, it's awful. Jennifer refused to recognise the problems and she had an inability to let go, always bringing up the good memories. I'm not the bad guy."

You Said

That's actually very sad. Being insecure can cause big problems. It's admirable that she's being candid about their problems. People might benefit from seeing that someone so beautiful and successful suffers from such insecurities.

I remember her making similar comments right after her wedding. What's she going to do...marry an ugly man? (Like Brittany did) She needs therapy.

Do I trust this British source? The "z"'s are all "s"'s in the article. :)

So, she's seriously using the "It's not you, it's me" line?

Lifestyles of the rich and spoiled. My heart bleeds for her. Really.

So sad.

Um hello? Outside of having children, marriage is the one place that brings up all your neurosis. That's one benefits of a committed relationship, so you can work it all out and get to a happier place.

If Jen is worried about being with a heart-throb, she should give me a call.
