Paltrow's New Job

The ink is barely dry on Estée Lauder’s deal with Tom Ford, and now the beauty giant has acquired another A-list celebrity: Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Oscar-winning actress, whose next film, Proof, is due out later this year, has entered into a multi-year contract with Estée Lauder. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Paltrow will now represent the brand’s fragrances and select makeup collections in global advertising campaigns, joining an illustrious group of women, including Liya Kebede, Carolyn Murphy, and Elizabeth Hurley. The first campaign that will feature Paltrow debuts this holiday season as both a print and television ad celebrating the 10th anniversary of the company’s global fragrance, Pleasures.

“Gwyneth Paltrow is perfect for Estée Lauder. She is one of the most important actresses of our time, and she is smart, interesting, and a fashion icon,” said Estée Lauder global brand president, John Demsey, in a statement. “As one of the most recognized women in the world, we are delighted to have her first campaign be for Estée Lauder Pleasures.”
