Columbian pop star Shakira is set to give Spain's Olympic Games bid a boost next month when she performs as part of Madrid's campaign to bring the sporting spectacular to the capital.

The singer will perform three new songs at the Puerta de Alcala square party for the 2012 Olympics on June 5th.

While rumor has it that NYC is a distant 4th for the '12 Games, I don't think Madrid will get it, either. I think this one's got Paris written all over it.
