VMA's

Violence at VMA Party:
When rap mogul Suge Knight was wounded during a party, hundreds of people were in the nightclub. But when police interviewed the guests, most claimed to have seen nothing.

A police report described the man who shot Knight in the leg Saturday at a party held in conjunction with the MTV Video Music Awards as black and wearing a pink shirt.

Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said early Monday there had been no further developments in the case. He told The Miami Herald that the investigation was being hampered by witnesses' unwillingness to talk. "We don't have any physical description. We don't know how many subjects were involved, which is mind boggling, with all those people around," Hernandez told the newspaper.

The party, hosted by Kanye West, at the Shore Club hotel in Miami Beach.

Here is a list of last night's winners.

--I didn't watch all of the pre-show, but of what I did see, I thought it was odd that NO ONE mentioned the shooting AT ALL.

You Said

Russ Parr was funny this morning commenting on the show. He said it was "a black show" this year, hands down, but they threw Green Day and Kelly Clarkson in there for the white folks. Honestly, I can't say I disagree. But that didn't bother me.

I heard that Green Day cleaned up. I was glad to see that after what I considered to be a "slight" from the grammys. American Idiot, and especially that one song, were some of the best music to come out in quite some time, not to mention last year.

"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is probably the song you're referring to .... quality shiznit.

I'd like to add that Mariah was O-N last night. She hit those high notes for the first time I've seen, live, in a few years it seems ....
