The buzz is that Tom Cruise wants his wife-to-be to focus on being a wife and a mother — not on her career. He also reportedly wants her to avoid the spotlight for a while.
“I’ve got Katie tucked away, so no one will get to us until my child is born — and until I want them to,” Cruise recently told “a friend” according to the new issue of Life & Style Weekly.
What’s more, according to the mag, the friend claims Cruise doesn’t want a repeat of his marriage to Nicole Kidman; the couple had two adopted children and also tended to their careers.
“I said [Katie's] life from now on was going to be about being a mother,” Cruise allegedly said. “I’m not giving her the chance to turn into another Nicole.” Cruise’s rep denies the story.

I think she's very pretty, although I'd agree this isn't the most flattering photo of her. She seems like she's pleading with her eyes, "Heeeeeeelllp!"
I wonder if he's keeping her eyes open with toothpicks until she's fully converted.

She doesnt look happy at all, like it's a forced partial smile. I don't think the relationship is going to last, especially if he is going to make her choose between motherhood and a career.

Looks like her cold sores are flaring up again. My guess is she's under a lot of stress and he's trying to protect her. She does have a sort of Mona Lisa look to her, is it sadness? Worry? Serene motherhood. Can't quite tell.

Tom is a "control" freak.He lives in a controlled environment where he is "the Man". I lost all respect for him when he said there is no such thing as discussed chemical embalances. Then even more so when he had the interview with Matt Laurer on the Today show. Who does he think he is??? oh yeah, Tom Cruise. Katie needs to get rid of him real fast before she becomes "brainwashed".
