Tom Cruise is considering suing magazine Life + Style for claiming the actor had ended his high-profile relationship with Katie Holmes, according to his lawyer Bert Fields.
The Mission: Impossible star, 43, was furious by the report, which alleged not only had that he finished his engagement to Holmes, but also the couple were keeping up the pretence of togetherness for good publicity. When the story was published last week, Cruise immediately issued a denial, labeling the claims "malicious fallacies". However, Life + Style say they stand by their story "100 per cent".
Cruise is set to meet with his lawyer Fields this week to discuss possible action against the publication. Fields says, "This is a disgusting and malicious story."
"It is unequivocally false and I have already demanded a retraction. I will be sitting down with Tom in the next couple of days to discuss this story, and ultimately it's his call as to whether we bring a lawsuit. But if it was up to me, I would sue."

I think Tom should sue! Those magazines have no right to print stories that aren't true about people. Just because he's a celebrity doesn't give them the right to lie about his life. Someone should take a stand. Go Tom!!!

If the story was false, by all means sue. However, why the delay in marrying her? Why is she such a mess now, ie, messy hair, no makeup, sloppily dressed, etc. I admire his talent (he should have received the Oscar for "Born on the Fourth of July)." The usually dignified man seems to have fallen apart this past year. I think Scientology is harming him mentally.

I think if magazine's lie then they should be sued. If I were Tom I would sue also. Why would they want to get married when she is pregnant. I am sure she wants to wear a white dress and have her natural figure. They will get married when they want. People do not have the right to tell lies or to tell people when they should get married. This is a free country the last time I looked.

Tabatha (and a few others) knows there are various options that Tom and Katie have in addressing the different situations talked about here...while even others act like criticizers, believing they are making comments like a critic does. Believe me, there is one heluva big difference between a critic and a criticizer, and it has a lot more to do than just the way they are spelled with (+/-) all those extra letters. Perhaps the strange shapes of her dress are caused by concealing a medical leg bag from a Foley catheter, or some other device which Katie requires to optimize the safety and well-being of herself and her baby. But, if anyone can make a "fashion issue" out of it, then someone will surely try. Hey, I'm not immune to being curious...I'd like to know what those irregular folds apparent around her dress are myself; but if it is something "personal", then I feel that Katie isn't appreciating those "probe/strobe comments" she's getting right now. As for her appearance lately...the poor dear is tired, and with a working and holiday schedule like she is keeping, along with carrying her baby...No Wonder! Stars often have really tough times putting up with rumors, malicious gossip, and "less than accurate reporting from the entertainment mainstream media types. I predict that someday in the future, the word paparazzo will change from denoting "a freelance photographer who takes candid pictures of celebrities for publication (in order to make a living) Note: I added the words in parentheses. But some paparazzi are like prostitutes, but rather than sell their own bodies for the sexual gratification of their (partner(s), they sell photographs that have (very often)been taken of a targeted celebrity intentionally showing that celebrity in a moment "not at their best". Then, sometimes add "descriptive phrases" (aka Captions) that deliberately mislead the viewers of these photographs to develop entirely untrue and most often tending to "degrade morally" the impression that these viewers form of these "victimized" celebrities. The more vicious the intent and "Proof" as evidenced by the photograph and the "captions", the more money and fame is heaped on the paparazzo who captured that little vignette in the life of the celebrity to show his adoring or abhorring fans what his/her life is like...and often decides the fan on whether to admire or dislike the celebrity.

It looks like the wind is billowing her dress out, making her roundness look even more pronounced and not very attractive. There is dressing for comfort and then there is dressing like you just don't care, she needs to pick one or the other. I really feel sorry for her, to have a baby, not be married and be scrutinized by everyone! And to top it all off being dragged around and shown off like a dolly, what ever happened to being able to speak for herself? Whatever the story, I think she better watch and take notice of what's happening to her life now, pretty soon there will be a baby to be held accountable for and they aren't dolls.
