The witches on Charmed won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.

A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.

With 7th Heaven having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.

The final episode of Charmed will air on May 21, TV Guide said.

It is unfortunate that a show of this nature wont be continuing on! It served to open alot of eyes and minds to those aspects of life that are unseen. Although not all of the info was acurate, it still was better than the stupid shows that are on now!

I will miss Charmed! It was a great show. I was hoping they'd do a whole season based on Tempus resetting time at the end of Season 3, where Phoebe agreed to go evil to save her sisters but Pru still perished. They could have brought Shannon Doherty back in an episode or two where the Time Loop got all messed up

I probably will not watch the new CW network because there will be nothing to watch since Charmed is being cancelled. I would hope that maybe a network who wants a steady viewership would pick it up but probably not. It's just sad that the WB is becoming less about quality than it is about how many horny teenagers they can get to watch their sexually charged shows. It's truly disappointing.

I thought it was a sad day when shannon left, but today i find out that charmed is cancelled for good. My wife and I recently bought seasons 1-5. We are some of the biggest fans. I haven't been this sad since Art Modell moved the Browns to Baltimore!!!!!
