Any Day Now

Tom Cruise may have found a way to keep Katie Holmes from violating the precepts of Scientology and shrieking in pain when she gives birth to their child. It's a specially crafted adult pacifier, reports Star magazine.

"He commissioned an adult-sized 'binky' for her to clench between her teeth, hoping that it'll squelch her screams," a source tells the mag. "In keeping with a Scientology silent birth, Tom is prepared to do whatever it takes to muffle Katie's moans and groans during the delivery." Cruise's PR rep, Arnold Robinson, denied the existence of an adult pacifier. As for its manufacture, a spokeswoman for NYU's School of Dentistry told Lowdown: "We haven't heard of it, but it doesn't mean a dentist wouldn't do it."

The alleged pacifier, which is reportedly made of plastic and molded to perfectly fit the 27-year-old Katie's mouth, could be deployed very soon. Cruise recently told a German television interviewer: "Katie could be having our baby at any minute."

You Said

Lord, he's an ass.

Says: Nanc' at April 6, 2006 07:47 AM

Maybe, when she's between contractions, she can stuff it up his butt. He's such a jerk.

Says: Kate at April 6, 2006 08:22 AM

Tom Cruise is crazy and should never be on tv ever again.

Says: Tara at April 6, 2006 11:18 AM

I think that Tom is such a jerk. I wish it was him having the baby and see how quite he would be.It is natual for a womem to scream and crying and yell, It is the way she can cope with the pain.

Says: Helen at April 6, 2006 11:26 AM

I could understand being faithful to your religon, but that is taking it a little to far...

Says: Jennifer at April 6, 2006 11:41 AM

Is this a joke?

Says: Cindy at April 6, 2006 11:45 AM

I just don't get it. He is a jerk and she's just as stupid for putting up with it. No man is worth that.

Says: Kellee at April 6, 2006 11:50 AM

This strange relationship doesn't stand a chance

Says: Lauren at April 6, 2006 11:56 AM

Word, Kellee, word...thats deep

Says: Ryan the Gr8 at April 6, 2006 11:57 AM

Perhaps she should bite the thing that impregnated her in the first place if she cannot handle the pain. See how silent he will be. lol

Says: Brenda at April 6, 2006 11:59 AM

Kinda dangerous to bite a test tube, don't you think?

Says: cynde at April 6, 2006 12:13 PM

STUPID, change your entire religious believes for a man. Have a quiet birth? Wouldn't have to worry about quiet anything if he messed with someone his own age. Not a scientology thing you suck the binky fool

Says: Leslie at April 6, 2006 12:19 PM

Sounds like somebody has a case of the short man's syndrome. She's an idiot for putting up with him.

Says: Leanne at April 6, 2006 12:34 PM

I wonder if Tom receives something for pain when he is having dental work, for example. Why would he want the mother of his child to suffer when "epidurals" allow for a safe, joyful,& painless delivery for all? He's the one thats brainwashed! And Katie is absolutely pathetic for letting someone dictate how to deal with HER pain!

Says: Debbie at April 6, 2006 12:44 PM

If he didn't want to listen to the yelling and screaming during the birth of their child...he should have kept that thing in his pants...what a complete and total jerk-off...I feel for Katie...'cause I sure wouldn't deal with that...but hey...I'm not in her I really don't know what I'd do...but I know I wouldn't bite on no pacifier!!!

Says: Libby at April 6, 2006 01:21 PM

Tom says his Dad was a bully. Tom wants Katie to use a pacifier. What am I missing? The bully doesn't fall far from the trash heap.

Says: Cat at April 6, 2006 01:43 PM

no wonder Nicole adopted

Says: at April 6, 2006 01:46 PM

What a pair. She goes from a controlling father and religion to a controlling whatever Cruise is and a cult. They deserve each other.

Says: Nancy at April 6, 2006 02:00 PM

Somebody needs to check out this Scientology. (developed by a man)Until they are capable of having a child, men need to forever shut their faces.

Says: NK at April 6, 2006 02:14 PM

I hope the "binky" has batteries for later on. She's going to need it.....

Says: Karen at April 6, 2006 02:42 PM

I cannot believe that psychotic jerk!! Scientology is a joke in itself and i'm thoroughly disgusted by their beliefs.. I just had a baby and there is no way in hell i could have been silent! Scream all you want Katie! You're having the baby, NOT HIM!

Says: Angelina at April 6, 2006 03:29 PM

Having a child is something no man can experience, so why do they create religious rules about how we should handle the process? Tom should really think about the science behing that!!! Who ever comes up with the rule book for this religion know no GOD but himself!! Having a child is a natural spiritual moment in a women's life and if he was squeeing a watermelon out of a pea hole I bet he wouldn't be quiet for man!!!

Says: JENNIFER at April 6, 2006 03:41 PM

What an idiot. I think he's almost scarry ... she should take her baby and run.

Says: Lynn at April 6, 2006 04:10 PM

I just had a baby.. and let me tell you, if my husband would have even THOUGHT about this concept for me while in labor, I would have shoved it where his baby batter came from! Tom is an idiot, I would like to be there while his vasectomy is done, without any pain meds, shoving that SAME pacifier in his mouth while he deals with the pain!

Says: Cari at April 6, 2006 04:39 PM

Says: MANDY at April 6, 2006 05:23 PM

It is a misnomer to assign Tom's requests for a silent birthing to Scientology (a religion), because it is correctly a datum of Dianetics(a modern science of mental health that discerns how the mind affects the body).
People should learn about the difference.

Says: Ron at April 6, 2006 06:21 PM

Says: EVELYN at April 6, 2006 06:21 PM

Ron, cool out, Buddy! The debate is Tom's insistance that on behest of a "relgious" belief that birthing be done silently. Not scientology or dianetics specifically. Besides, no one cares what the dif is!

Says: Aubrey at April 6, 2006 07:57 PM

OMg who does this guy thnnk he is? Gawd, I just want to take that pacifier and shove it up his......

Says: LELIE at April 6, 2006 08:43 PM

I'm all for whatever you wanna do based on your religion, and though I think Scientology is a bit whacky, it's still the religion of their choice, BUT you can't have a quiet birth. Even if you were mute your whole life, giving birth would make you scream. Religious belief or not, that's just crazy. I'm sure he didn't mind her screaming when they were making the baby. It's just so sad, because as an actor, I like Tom Cruise. He was my first celebrity crush, and I love Katie Holmes, but this Scientology thing (which is followed by a lot of celebrities) has made him insane, and her as well. Silent birth my ass.

Says: at April 6, 2006 08:57 PM

Katie needs to have the baby see the baby and run home to her Catholic Family with the baby...I bet Chris Klein would never have been this cruel to her...Tom loves his religion...if he loved katie he would not want her to suffer...

Says: Mary Ann at April 6, 2006 09:15 PM

Says: Julie at April 6, 2006 09:45 PM

I hate him. Run, Katie, Run!

Says: Beth at April 6, 2006 10:06 PM

Katie girl RUN!!!
You will wake up and see this is just another Man in Holliweird that tries to run a young stars life.

Says: Ronda at April 6, 2006 10:19 PM

Katie's an adult who can decide for herself if she wants to follow Tom's beliefs. personally, however, i think someone should kick Tom in the nuts every time Katie has a contraction and make him suffer silently. he might lighten up on his beliefs after her first one.

Says: christine at April 7, 2006 12:09 AM

find it hard to believe she is actually pregnant--pictures of her belly have really flucuated in a two to three week span. maybe that's why she seems to be brain dead about this silent birthing-----she's not concerned because nothing is gonna happen that will cause her pain!-no baby to deliver, no reason for pain.i think she needs to be fitted for a very pretty collar and matching leash---people can only do with you what you allow, and so far she has no limits, or no mouth to voice her for tom, i can't even come up with a clear thought as to what's behind all this attention he's calling to himself---maybe there's a bunch of "behind the scenes"we're not privvy to, but he seems to have no problem putting the goofy stuff out there for our look see.

Says: aney at April 7, 2006 04:35 AM

Another thing he folows is the baby does not bond with the mom for 24 hours or more. Ask anyone that deals with babies what deprivation of bonding with a parent is...mind over body has been used in natural childbirth for a long doesn't alleviate any pain.... so a normal response to pain should be ignored but he can jump on a couch in response to his happiness.... so whose feelings count? Katie run! Get a mind of your own. Be a good mom and protect your child. From a professional who deals with birth.

Says: Kate at April 7, 2006 05:11 AM

Can anyone tell me what the hell she is thinking... If someone were to tell me that I had to suck on a darn pacifier and keep quiet when I am going to endure the most painful experience I have in my life geez $#@$$%$.... I bet she must be regreting leaving her NORMAL ex-bf by now.

Tom Cruise is not a normal person. Before all this fiasco I thought he was a really cool guy.. come on who didn't? But seeing this scientology mambo jumbo... he seriously freaks me out.

Says: Julie at April 7, 2006 06:05 AM

it hkn tom is to comtrolling anad he should give into what katie wants the life they are living is not only fo rtom but for katie as well

Says: barbra at April 7, 2006 07:20 AM

what a weirdo and jerk! Katie REALLY needs to start focusing on what this ass is saying and doing. He drags her around like she is a bag of trash. And the constant kissing! It gags me...who is he trying to convince?

Says: Sharon at April 7, 2006 07:59 AM

Katie could be having our baby at any minute! Tom was quoted as saying, and he isn't even there! Hellooooo....chunk the binky Katie, he may not even be there for you! Being silent during birth? How natural is that? They say they want everything to be natural, Tom I say, have a vasectomy without anything for pain and we'll see who'll be screaming binky!

Says: Deanna Ludwick-Texas at April 7, 2006 08:12 AM

STAR 'Magazine' (ahem) got it wrong.. it's not an adult pacifier, it was a large butt plug FOR TOM. The man is as gay as a Judith Leiber handbag on Tony night.
Seriously though.. I can't wait for the break up and all the gory details. Gonna be FAB-u-lous. :-)

Says: cb at April 7, 2006 08:39 AM

Hey ladies! Let's show Tom what we think of him and boycott his movies. Why support someone who doesn't support his wife when she is in pain.

Says: lucy at April 7, 2006 08:41 AM

What's the big deal about "natural" chaildbirth? As a healthcare professional, I have always said that unless you deliver the baby rectally, it is "natural." Do you think that the Olympic runner cares if he is groaning or straining vocally, even screaming as he crosses the finish line first? Fortunately for Katie, Tom is a "lttle man", and babies are born without egos, so let's all pray for a quick and easy delivery for her, for her sake!!!

Says: Cindy at April 7, 2006 08:57 AM

i just had a baby and let me tell you it hurts, so who is he kidding with this silence crap. And another thing if my husband had tried to keep my child away from me right after i had her, he would be missing his balls, you don't keep a mother from her child.

Says: Jodi at April 7, 2006 09:11 AM

I've been boycotting everything associated with him for YEARS. He makes me ill.

Says: Cynde at April 7, 2006 10:14 AM

I hope all goes well with her and the baby. She is young and dumb when it comes to Tom. I feel she needs to bond with baby at birth. My first child I couldn't see until she was 8 hours old and it was a horrible thing to do. As far as silent birth, well we will see if that happens. I believe that if a woman wants natural delivery that is fine, but there is no way she will not make a sound with the pain. Even with a binky in her mouth, totally impossible.

Says: Melva at April 7, 2006 11:18 AM

He believe in a religon created by s science fiction writer. Can we say, "Duped?" This guy is a real tool.

Says: Jenn at April 7, 2006 11:40 AM

Someone needs to tell Katie that people treat you how you LET people treat you. It is up to her to stand up for herself. It's a shame that she is so dazzled by being in a relationship with her childhood crush that she is putting up with this BS.

Says: Murphy at April 7, 2006 12:11 PM

Says: amber at April 7, 2006 12:29 PM

i got curious about the silent birth, so i went on the website. its not that the mother cant make any noise, they just dont want anyone talking during the birth. as for not seeing the baby... if she does that she is as crazy as he is.

Says: amy at April 7, 2006 01:01 PM

i have 3 kids and any man who loves there wife girlfriend fiancee what ever does not want to see them in pain this is a self ritcious thing that he is doing their is a whole world of bonding with a child and if he wants a silent birth then they should have an epidural cause it don't hurt and there would be no yelling and screaming i used to love tom cruise and now i think nothing of him he has two adopted children that he didn't get to go threw child birth with and now he wants katie to be quiet what a u no what. wait till she gets post pardum. sorry Katie for the ignorance of a man he is not to put u first you should be able to see this u do not live in Iraq

Says: jennifer at April 7, 2006 01:56 PM

I'Ve Had three Kids "natural" including a set of twins.Tom Cruise is a nut and how did Katie get so brainwashed?? IDidn't think he could have kids, he has been married twice and his children are adopted, which leads me to believe he's shooting blanks. So who is the real father?

Says: Janette Woolston at April 7, 2006 01:59 PM

His father was abusive? Oh my, isn't he being abusive expecting her to be silent during birthing pain? In my opinion, no matter what the religion, he has no right to expect a perfect performance. Oh my gosh, I am SOOO glad that pressure is not on me.

Says: Ava at April 7, 2006 02:03 PM

Tom Cruise I agree is not a well man. I agree that between contractions that she should shove it up his butt. I think that this is the most degrading thing that he could have done.

Says: Carrie at April 7, 2006 03:37 PM

Do you think Tom was actually quiet when that baby was concieved?? Its effin jacked up to expect any woman to HAVE to be quiet especially while having a natural childbirth. I say stick a pole up his butt and see if he doesn't cry just a little.

Says: Alisha at April 7, 2006 04:28 PM

Tom Cruise is a wack job!
Katie Holmes is so damn gullible, wait til she gets that really long contraction, I think she's gonna wig out.

Says: lisy6976 at April 7, 2006 04:52 PM

This scientology crap is sooooo weird. I get sick just hearing some of the beliefs these people think are right. Tom Cruise needs some serious help-- he's a mess.

Says: Lisette at April 7, 2006 04:56 PM

he is an idiot, she acts like she has half a brain. good luck to the new baby, you are gonna need it!! with parents like that, it's gonna be tough!!

Says: dani at April 7, 2006 06:05 PM

he's going to far.

Says: Yvette at April 8, 2006 12:26 AM

I think she needs to "band his balls" and see how quiet he is...what a jerk!!!!!!!!

Says: Lori at April 8, 2006 01:02 AM

Katie says to Tom "Wouldn't a hammer do?"

Says: SD at April 8, 2006 08:46 AM

He is a nut. He has gone too far and I agree the pacifier should be inserted where the sun don't shine.

Says: Susan at April 8, 2006 11:07 AM

My baby is 7 months old and I can still remember the pain from having him. I screamed and cried through the whole thing. If someone would've tried to stick a "adult pacifier" in my mouth I would've shoved it in their yoohoo hole.

Says: Ayesha at April 8, 2006 01:35 PM

Tom Cruise is a homosexual who is still in the closet. Every public move he makes including his "religious beliefs" and "relationships" are created by his managers and financiers. He is a money making machine who enjoys a very private life no one knows about.

Says: Natalie at April 8, 2006 01:52 PM

No uterus, no opinion. Give birth to a two liter Tom, and see how quiet you are!

Says: kermit at April 8, 2006 02:18 PM

Lucy, 4/7/06 says "Boycott his movies, why support someone who doesn't support his wife.....Katie is NOT his wife, he doesn't even have the decency to marry her!!!

Says: Sue at April 8, 2006 02:25 PM

He is a MORON! Get yourself fixed Tom, so we don't ever have to hear about this again!

Says: Bea at April 8, 2006 02:46 PM

Taken from the church of Scientology website:

What is a quiet or silent birth?

Having a quiet, gentle birth is all about providing the best possible environment for the birthing mother and her new baby.

It is labor and delivery done in a calm and loving environment and with no-spoken words by everyone attending as much as possible. Chatty doctors and nurses, shouts to “PUSH, PUSH” and loud or laughing remarks to “encourage” are the types of things that are meant to be avoided.

As L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of Dianetics and Scientology, wrote, “Everyone must learn to say nothing within the expectant mother’s hearing during labor and delivery.” And, “A woman who wants her child to have the best possible chance will find a doctor who will agree to keep quiet especially during the delivery, and who will insist upon silence being maintained in the hospital delivery room as far as it is humanly possible.”

Does this mean that a mother cannot scream or moan at all?

Of course they can make noises — the point of silent birth is NO WORDS. This is a principle of Dianetics and to fully understand why, read the book Dianetics the Modern Science of Mental Health, by L. Ron Hubbard. It is words that are the culprit. Outside of not speaking, the objective is generally to have as peaceful and relaxing an environment as possible for the mother and child. It is doubtful that any woman could give birth without making any noise at all.

Mothers naturally want to give their baby the best possible start in life and thus keep the birth as quiet as possible.

Does the application of these principles preclude a mother from using medicines?

The Church has no policy against the use of medicines to help a person with a physical situation. This, too, is up to the mother and her doctor.

Says: Suz at April 8, 2006 02:59 PM

I have four children. I lost my first son. I waitted 8 years to have another son. I wasn't sure if I could do it. I really did think that I was gonna have an abortion. The father (or sperm donar as I like to call him) Try to tell me to get an abortion or we where threw. Even though I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. Noone gives an ultimadame. I picked the baby. He is 6 now and is the best move that I ever had. Now I do have a set of twins. It is just us man. I can't seem to find a good enough man for us. Men like Cruise are all around. They think that they can walk into your life and try and control it. I do blame us Women.. we try and be passive keep the peace and not say much....Before you know it.. they control your every move. We as women need to stand up for ourselves so even if it doesn't workout the next women in there lives won't have to put up with all of the bologna.

Says: CJ at April 8, 2006 03:12 PM

As the Church of Scientology's own doctrine clearly condridicts Tom's agenda for the "pacifier" and the use of such an item would, to my understanding, be constantly in the way during the labored breathing required during a medication-free (heaven forbid!!) birthing, I seriously question and worry more about the stability of those who will make up "birthing team" much more than I do just how screwed up Tom is. I mean, Tom is an adult, but that poor infant that is about to be brought into the world is presently defenseless. Does he/she have anyone looking after his/her poor little soul?

Says: Chuck at April 8, 2006 03:20 PM

I wonder did she have to be quiet during the process of making the baby?

Says: TLC at April 8, 2006 04:11 PM

Tom is a waste of oxygen. This is someone who doesn't want to talk about his personal life,,,only to come out and tell women what they shouldn't be doing I.E.- Meds for depression and so on....wait until Katie has the baby,,Let's hope that she doesn't have depression,,cuz all he's going to give her is a Vitamin and tell her to get up and exercise like a good little girl.
He has his head in a CULT choke hold,,like the rest of the "Stars",,,They need someone to think for them because they no longer can think for themselfs... .
He is not a "Good" actor and thank Nicole for getting her life back in order,,at least she has acting skills,, .

Says: Linda at April 8, 2006 08:43 PM

Can we say"vasectomy"? Tom, let's see you have one of these without any painkillers and no screaming or whimpering with pain and then we will talk, ok??!!

Says: Ginger at April 8, 2006 09:00 PM

Is that really Katie in that picture??? That is a BIG belly!!! As for Tom... someone should bronze his balls... wonder if he would be silent for that??? Might make good ornaments for the christmas tree though!!! He is a total loser... Katie... you can do so much better... He is to old and to wacky for you... RUN!!!!!

Says: christie at April 8, 2006 10:49 PM

Tom is messed up in the head!! I think he's doing this for attention. I used to like Tom, but not anymore. Him and Katie will not last. I wonder what Nicole (ex) thinks about all this? He keeps getting wierder and wierder!!! I hope Katie wakes up someday soon and leaves him. I feel sorry for her and the kids. She can do SO much better. Hope he doesn't turn out like his father!! Goodluck Katie!!

Says: Mel at April 8, 2006 11:38 PM

Is going back to the stone age to require that a woman endure the agony and torture of childbirth without pain relief. Tom should be hanged by his balls in total silence.

Says: Cherijah at April 9, 2006 12:15 AM

What if Katie needs a C-section? Tom can't control that...and what kind of control did he have with Matt Lauer, the jerk! He sounds as bad as he says his father was to him! Run, Katie, run! Notice he only dates/marries women in their 20s then dumps them in their thirties.

Says: Linda Stanley at April 9, 2006 06:07 AM

Tom Cruise is a PUKE!

Says: at April 9, 2006 07:50 AM

I can't wait to see what Katie's real feeling are about him when she is going into labor...I can just hear it now...TOM YOU ARE AN IDOIT!! YOU TRY SQUIZING SOMETHING THE SIZE OF A WATERMELON OUT OF SOMETHING THE SIZE OF A LEMON AND SEE HOW QUITE YOU CAN BE..

Says: Beth at April 9, 2006 08:23 AM

Can we say "Rosemary's Baby"?

Says: Los at April 9, 2006 08:46 AM

I wonder if it was a "silent" conception also? I mean, if his religion demands a "calm" mother and a "silent" birth; then,No moaning and groaning when they hit the sheets?

Maybe that's what he likes, puritanical sex and in the missionary position.

Oh well, to each his or her own crazy theme.

Says: Mara at April 9, 2006 10:32 AM

I used to be a fan of Tom before all this nonsense. I have 2 kids of my own, delievered with out drugs, but was I quiet? Hell no. My family said they could hear me in the waiting room. He's psycho.

Says: Tina at April 9, 2006 11:55 AM

I have 3 children, With my first son Yeah I screamed. The other 2 I delivered at a different hospital they try everything there to get you not to yell or scream. For me it worked, it helped me to stay more relaxed. I did make noises and moaned and maybe whined a little, but did not scream. But for Tom to tell Katie that she cant is ridiculous!! Its her body and her pain if she feels that she needs to scream to relieve some of her pain go for it, who is he to tell her what to do. Maybe thats why he went for a younger woman so he can easily control her.

Says: Tiffany at April 9, 2006 01:02 PM

o.k. we all know that tom cruise is a dick. now all we hafta to do is wait for katie to figure it out and pray its not to late for her and her child to be able to remove themselves from the grips grips of the obsessive and domineering grasp of the maniacal person that tom has become. and although tom hasnt always been a scientologist, lets just hope someone close to him and can help her when that time comes.

Says: michelle at April 9, 2006 03:04 PM

Tom is a butthead. He has NO clue what it is like to push a human being out. Pfft, if I was Katie, I'd tell him to go to hell, I want drugs, and if and when I feel the need I will scream and turn my head 360 degrees if I need to and until you give birth to something other then your over-bloated ego ... piss off !!

what!Is he nuts?I think this whole thing is a scam to promote his religious beliefs. I mean they did have a business meeting prior to being together right? Not to say she isnt having his baby but come on!Celebrities are wacky people with money.

never in my entire life have i ever seen any woman protrude that far even in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Seems like Tom is not the only one who is brainwashed. Katie had made statements in the past that she always wanted to marry Tom. Even before she ever met him. Infatuation is not love. (Be VERY careful what you wish for). Katie seems very niave and still showing signs of starry eyed puppy love. But once she is in the throws of childbirth, I think her opinion of HIS religion will change. Every time you see them in the public eye, they just seem so staged. Out of couriosity....I was just wondering how Tom's religion views premarital sex and unwed parenting!!! Nice values to pass along to the unborn child and his adopted kids. I think that the whole situation is just sad. Katie is with a loser. When a man is divorced twice, it isn't always the wife that is the problem. It isn't always "Third time's a charm" sometimes it is "Three stikes you're out!!"

"silent birth" sounds awful, but if they both agree to try it, then whatever. It's their life together.

Tom need's to find the Holy Bible & Stop Jumping on his Friends Sofa's. Katie need's to get her head out of the Risky Business Movie Days & Start Her Life with Her Baby. X out Tom 100%.I WILL NEVER PAY 2 SEE ANY MORE OF HIS FILMS.

omfg! if i was in katie's position, i would be grabbing his testicles the whole entire time. as far as boycotting his stuff, that would be pretty easy for me considering that i don't go to see any of his movies at all. he's a dumbassed jerk. if my husband would have tried to make me do something like that with either one of my kids, i would have looked at him and said "a couple of words for you timothy: lawyer and divorce papers". i swear that's total abuse what he's doing to katie. f*&^ing jerk! i really hope someone kicks him hard in the junk!

I can't believe any of the stuff that celebrities get away with anymore. They use drugs openly in public and don't lose their kids, bug their spouses phone lines to monitor them, and dance on tables in night clubs. It is sad, and a shame that people would possibly be using a relationship or a baby to promote a religion that seems kinda like a cult.

I really like Tom Cruise and always have. But I have noticed that in the last few years he has gotten a little "Out there". I always wondered why Nicole and him split after so long, but now I see why. I think that it is funny how most women are reacting to this. Being a mother of Three and also almost dying with my last child, I know there is no way to suppress pain and how you deal with it. He will find out that if Katie is in enough pain no matter what he does she is going to want to express it. When I was in the hospital, some woman in the next room was screaming, yelling and swearing, sometimes throwing things, my husband looked at me and said are you going to do that and I said no, but after awhile I couldn't help but moan alittle and I almost broke my husbands hand while he was holding it. When the contractions started to increase along with the pain my grip increased also. What I am saying is that all women handle pain differently and no matter what Tom does, Katie is going to do her own thing when the time comes. I wish them all the luck. Some of you woman need to lighten up. Tom is just a man that has no clue but hopefully now with a real birth at hand he will.
