Ashley Dupre, The Post's new sex and romance advice columnist, had a busy media week. The aspiring singer who made headlines with Eliot Spitzer went on "The View" and battled with the estrogen-heavy panel. "That was scary," Dupre said. "Most women hate everything I represented. But I was ready for it. I think it went well."
By the end of the segment, it appeared she'd won them over. "They were really nice," she said. Ashley also was interviewed on Fox News by Geraldo Rivera, who asked her to sing. Since the blizzard was blowing outside, she warbled a sexy, a cappella version of "Let It Snow."
Shoe king Stuart Weitzmanhas given his Million Dollar shoe the boot for the Oscars in March. The designer cited the recession, telling us, "There will be no Million Dollar shoe for the Oscars this year. With so many people struggling financially, and unemployment at 10 percent, I don't think it is appropriate. The actresses still want to go for glamour, but this year it will be more understated."
Weitzman created a sensation when "Mullholland Drive" star Laura Harring wore his jeweled shoe at the 2002 Oscars, and he's since created custom shoes for many famous ladies. Even Queen Elizabeth once asked about them. "I was at Ascot with a model wearing the Million Dollar shoe," Weitzman recalled. "Her Majesty came up asked me: 'I hear they cost a lot of money?' I replied: 'Yes, but surely not as much as some of your crown jewels.' She just smiled and walked away."
Rumor has it that when Jessica Simpson went to see sister Ashlee on Broadway in "Chicago," she asked for popcorn in the lobby -- "Poor thing thought she was at a movie," snickered a spy.
Sean Combshad a bad day yesterday. The rapper showed up nearly an hour late to the unveiling of his own statue at the Madame Tussauds wax museum on West 42nd Street, bungled the pronunciation of the museum during his brief remarks, and then declined to do one-on-one interviews with reporters. Combs is whispered to be nearing an engagement to girlfriend Kim Porter. Combs' rep said, "This rumor happens every year -- it isn't true."
Whoo hoooo! My favorite time of year is here!!! No, not Christmas (although I do love Christmas). Award season is upon us! Here's the list of the Golden Globe nominations annouced this morning.
What a field! Best show nominees include some of my personal faves like Mad Men, Big Love, Glee, Entourage, and The Office. The Glee and Mad Men leads also got acting nominations as well.
And, I certainly have several movies to see before the awards are handed out. I'm so behind!

Pamela Anderson is launching a pop career with her debut single, "High." It's not about drugs, but about high fashion, her friend Richie Rich says. "We are recording a pop single together. Pam says she wants to sing, but nothing too difficult, so she's just going to sing the word 'high' over and over," he said.
He and Anderson are also launching a new clothing line, A*Muse, which she'll model during Fashion Week in February, while her supportive ex, Tommy Lee, spins records.
