As a child, the master magician went to the Park Slope library after school to wait for his mom to pick him up after work. That's where he started reading about Houdini. And that's why he's a spokesman for the New York State Summer Reading Program. Blaine is spending more time with librarians than supermodels, visiting libraries and telling kids about how books can change lives.
