I think 90% of those hollywood gals are just as plain and doudy as average science nerds, they just have talented makeup artist! Few have shown to be as pretty without a pound of makeup as without...

I knew a girl who worked for a magazine out in NYC a few years ago ... she showed me pictures of photo shoots before they had to re-touch them and put them in the glossy pages / covers. One, in particular, was Sarah Michelle Gellar. NOT CUTE.
I wish more people realized this. Well, more people who try to make themselves look like these girls/women ... and don't realize they spend thousands and thousands of dollars per month to look the way they do because Hollywood peeps can afford it!

i think people realize it but decide to ignore it. it is like seeing a woman on the street from a distance. she looks hot until you get up close.
photographs are the same way to an extent.
ok, bad analogy. but, if you don't think photos are "touched up" you must think jessica simpson actually sings live on stage.
